CRO

Caltech Radio Observatory (CRO) is designed to measure the intensity and polarization of astrophysical radiation sources. It consists of a 3 meter prime focus Cassegrain mesh reflecting telescope and polarization sensitive receiver. Our goal is to measure the polarization of synchrotron radation, and thermal/blackbody radiation of solar system, galactic, and extra galactic at 3 and 12 GHz. The dish is located on the roof of the Robinson Astronomy building at Caltech.

The goal of this project is to make radio astronomy accesible to students at Caltech, other institutions, and in high schools. This website will be a place where information about the insturment and its data will be provided.
